The study used a quantitative analysis of data obtained by Merseyside Police in May 2014 for recorded incidents of domestic abuse within that time frame. Victim type was explored and results illustrate that there was a significant relationship between victim type and other variables. This suggests that victim type is important and should be taken into account when intervention and support is considered into relationships where Domestic abuse (DA) is a factor.
