Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe aim of the Borges plus project is to develop a prototype based on a columnar DB over a distributed network with SQL declarative language. A new vectorial formalism is used to describe backbone conformation and geometrical relations among secondary structure elements. This system, with high performance and Big Data capabilities will be at the heart of software developed at the IBMB-CSIC to solve protein structures and will be operative on the local network and portable to supercomputing facilities such as the Gordon supercomputer in San Diego (SDSC).
