Eventually, the complexity of projects required a higher level of specialization leading to the separation of the designer and the builder. The industry started to adopt technologies that facilitate and promote shared communication platform among involved individuals such as Building Information Modelling. BIM coupled with powerful simulation tools, such as mixed reality is fostering greater collaboration between team members. It allows the user to align their 3D models onto the real world to evaluate.
