Petrographic and geochemical evidence for the origin of phosphorites and phosphate rocks from the West Coast of South Africa

The onshore marine phosphorite and aluminium phosphate deposits of Varswater Quarry (near Langebaanweg), Bomgat (near Hoedjiespunt), Kreefte Bay and Konstabelkop were studied to determine the origin of the various deposits.
