Mental illness in primary health care : a study to investigate nurse's knowledge of mental illness and attitudes of nurses toward the mentally ill
Abstract
dc:description.abstractIt has been suggested that globally, psychiatric disorders are not only highly prevalent and associated with significant morbidity, but that they are often not detected by clinicians working in primary health care. Despite this, few studies have investigated the level of mental health literacy among nurses and their attitudes to the mentally ill in South Africa.
