A morphological-anatomical classification of growth forms in monocotyledons
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis examines the morphology and anatomy of monocots from the standpoint of both taxic and growth form diversity and attempts to address the problems encountered in classifying and naming the structures which comprise the axial system of monocots. The morphology and anatomy of the growth habits of a variety of monocots were described using standard sectioning and light microscope procedures.
