Department of Mechanical Engineering
Towards an integrated corporate governance framework for conformance and performance
Abstract
dc:description.abstractIndividuals try to build wealth so that they can retire when they can no longer work, or when they choose not to work. This is done by direct investment in shares, property, cash or fixed interest securities. There are more exotic investment instruments, but they are ultimately exposed to the instmments mentioned. We can invest indirectly through insurance companies, unit trust management companies, other financial institutions or pension funds.
