Direct digital control of a synchronous machine
Abstract
dc:description.abstractWith the advancement of thyristor technology, variable speed alternating current drives are providing improved performance over conventional systems. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the possibilities of direct digital control of a thyristor converter and to determine the major parameters affecting the operation of a variable speed synchronous machine drive.
