Dosimetric comparison of volumetric modulated arc therapy and three dimensional conformal radiotherapy in the adjuvant setting for the management of gastric cancer : target volume coverage and normal tissue sparing
Abstract
dc:description.abstractWhilst the benefit of adjuvant radiotherapy in gastric cancer is known, the optimal means of delivery, including two dimensional conventional, three dimensional conformal radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiotherapy and volumetric modulated arc therapy is less certain. The purpose of this study is to assess and compare volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and three dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) plans in adjuvant radiation of gastric cancer.
