This research explores the accuracy and effectiveness of eye tracking as an object interaction method in VR. Specifically, this thesis presents the development of an interactive virtual environment designed to compare the interaction time, accuracy, and task load associated with eye tracking, distance-based hand tracking, and close-up grabbing during interactions with 3D objects. A user study was conducted to compare the three interaction methods.
