By critically engaging with works by Dickens, Zola, Orwell, and Angioni, the research elucidates how extractive practices mirror a broader system of socio-ecological injustice. It argues that extractivism should not be conceived solely as an economic phenomenon, but also as a manifestation of internal colonialism, profoundly shaping cultural identity and undermining environmental sustainability. Within this framework, literature is posited as a medium of resistance, providing a critical apparatus for interrogating and contesting the destructive logics of capitalism.
