Realidades silenciadas: infancias vividas en los centros de protección de menores

El presente estudio centra su mirada en las infancias, concretamente, en aquellas que han transitado por los centros de protección de menores. Narra sus vidas, sus realidades y su memoria. A partir de las voces de las personas participantes, como agentes activos del estudio y tomando este como un espacio donde poder compartir y dar presencia a las mismas, se estudian cuáles son sus necesidades, sus vivencias y las realidades en las que se ven inmersos, ¿qué implica ser un sujeto institucionalizado en centros de protección de menores? Para ello, se ha enfocado la mirada en estas infancias silenciadas, oprimidas, ocultadas desde un sistema capitalista que deja al descubierto el cumplimiento de los derechos de las infancias. Acorde a este sentido del que se dota la investigación, la metodología que se levanta pertinente son las historias de vida. Historias narradas desde su memoria y su sentir. Por ello, en primer lugar, se construyen sus historias desde un enfoque narrativo-biográfico donde priman sus narrativas, sus voces. En segundo lugar, se presenta un análisis en el que nacen categorías emergentes de las historias, las vivencias compartidas por las infancias participantes, confrontándose y nutriendo el análisis con la mirada de personas profesionales que desempeñan su labor en centros de protección de menores. Los resultados en sí son sus historias, sus vidas plasmadas a través de sus voces. En ellos, se muestran cuáles son sus necesidades, sus experiencias y qué implica su transitar por los centros de protección de menores. Desde las necesidades insatisfechas vividas en su contexto familiar y en los centros de protección de menores, los estigmas y prejuicios que se acompañan de ser "un menor o una menor de centro" y las adversidades a las que se enfrentan al alcanzar la mayoría de edad, entre otros factores que convergen en sus vidas infancias. Como cierre, poner de manifiesto el compromiso de este estudio con visibilizar estas realidades vividas (silenciadas) en los vacíos de las políticas vigentes que dejan al descubierto la satisfacción de las necesidades de las infancias; incidiendo en la vulnerabilización de sus derechos y generando desigualdades. This study focuses on children, specifically those who have wandered through child protection centres. It narrates their lives, their realities and their memories. Starting from the voices of the participants, as active agents of the study, and taking this as a space where they can share and give presence to their voices, we focus on their needs, their experiences and the realities in which they are immersed. What does it mean to be an institutionalised subject in child protection centres? To carry out this study, the focus has been on these silenced and oppressed childhoods, which have also been hidden from a capitalist system, exposing the fulfilment of children's rights. According to this sense in which the research is carried out, the methodology that arises pertinent are life stories. Stories told from their memory and their soul. Therefore, in the first place, their stories are constructed from a narrative-biographical approach, where their narratives and their voices prevail. Secondly, a chapter of analysis is presented in which emerging categories of the stories are born, the experiences shared by the participating children, confronting and nourishing the analysis with the perspective of professionals who carry out their work in child protection centers. The results themselves are their stories, their lives expressed through their voices. We can see through them what their needs and experiences are, and what their journey through child protection centers implies. From the unmet needs experienced in their family context and in child protection centers, the stigmas and prejudices that accompany being "a child in a center" and the adversities they face when reaching the age of majority, among other factors that converge in their childhood. The vulnerability of childhoods. As closing, we want to highlight the commitment of this study to make visible these lived (but silenced) realities in the gaps of current policies that leave the satisfaction of the needs of children exposed; affecting the vulnerability of their rights and generating inequalities.
