Abstract

dc:description.abstract

____________________________________________ The generation of environmental models is a Knowledge Management process, represented by means of interpretative structural modeling. It applies oriented graphs based on binary matrices of the interaction between elements linked by contextual causality relationships. The knowledge representation may also be done by means of semantic networks of attributes inheritance founded on First Order Predicate Calculus. During the process, tacit knowledge is shared [(1) sharing tacit knowledge], and justified concepts or abstract entities are being created [(2) creating and (3) justifying concepts]. These entities can be related by functions or equations, and linked by means of calibrated formal structures [(4) building of prototypes], being finally verified and validated [(5) cross leveling knowledge]. Case studies and empirical applications are included proving the correspondence between strong semiotic components of Knowledge Management and steps or actions inherent to environmental modeling, confirming the hypothesis and showing the topological alternativeness between tacit and explicit knowledge
