To bridge this gap and aid in providing the highest-level care for clinicians, an ES intervention manual is needed that includes four major attributes: (a) user friendly synthesis of evidence, (b) activity-specific guidance for ES parameter settings, (c) suggestions for the delivery of creative patient-specific interventions, and (d) time-efficient method of information conveyance.The two-stage study’s goal is to (1) develop a fully realized draft of the clinical intervention manual, and (2) field test the manual at three clinical sites. During the initial phase of project activity, the manual was developed by an expert panel using a modified Delphi approach, achieving consensus through three iterations. The manual content included characteristics that were prioritized by experts in previous work, detailed in Chapter III. Subsequently, the field test was conducted at three clinical sites to assess the clinical feasibility and acceptance of the manual under everyday practice conditions. Based on data from the field test, the manual will be continually refined in preparation for future intervention efficacy trials and a more broadly dissemination to practicing therapists.
