Individuals who report consuming alcohol mixed energy drinks (AmED) are significantly more likely to report binge drinking, risky sexual behaviors, and driving while intoxicated. To date, there have been no interventions created to reduce the harms associated with drinking AmED, namely driving while intoxicated. This dissertation seeks to add to scientific knowledge of AmED and create narrative videos to reduce intentions to drive while intoxicated in University at Buffalo (UB) students. Study 1 assessed prevalence of AmED use and associated risk behaviors in UB students as well as identified antecedents of use.
