This dissertation offers a data-driven framework that enables integrating material informatics to product design and manufacturing to increase the efficiency, reliability, and pertinency of the entire production chain. In this dissertation, a series of intelligent material informatics frameworks in the domains of design and manufacturing with the aim of improving design efficiency, assuring manufacturing quality, and increasing design and manufacturing pertinency is outlined. Specifically, this dissertation outlines (a) an intelligent material assignment tool to automate the material design in CAD/CAE/CAM modeling, (b) an intelligent material inspection tool to automate the material quality detection in manufacturing process monitoring, (c) an intelligent material inspection tool to automate the degradation mechanism detection in organic solar cells, (d) a scheme to support the design and manufacturing oriented by materials."]},{"key":"dc:format","label":"Dc Format","values":["application/pdf"]},{"key":"dc:title","label":"Title","values":["Intelligent Material Informatics Applications in Design and Manufacturing"]}]}],"canonical_facts":{"dc:contributor":["Rai, Rahul","Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering"],"dc:creator":["Zhang, Binbin"],"dc:date":["2018-10-26T02:57:25Z","2018","2018-08-10 21:27:45"],"dc:description":["Ph.D.","Material plays a key role in the product realization process.
