The Impact that COVID-19 has on Athletes and Sports Retention

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

During the spring of 2020, everyone around the world was introduced to COVID and forced to lockdown due to the pandemic. Student-athletes then had to figure out who they were without their sports and find new ways to stay in love with the sport they had grown to love, while also maintaining their practice and game statistics at the same level. The purpose of this synthesis project is to review the literature on the impact that COVID has had on athlete and sports retention.
