Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis project celebrates the Adirondacks and chronicles the challenges of summer employment with a focus on the social gap between employer and employee. Crafted in a creative non-fiction style the author discusses outdoor literature, location as influential in character development, and segmenting as a means to focus essay content. The opening section discusses the project development as the author researched, experimented with, and polished the conventions necessary for a comprehensive creative non-fiction work. The remaining four sections include creative non-fiction essays.
