Os usos do território pelos agentes dos circuitos da economia urbana para a entrega de alimentos demandados por aplicativos na cidade do Natal-RN
Abstract
dc:description.abstractIn the technical-scientific-informational period, breathing activities are carried out with the use of the right technical objects by the hegemonic agents of the market, a fact that transforms the urban economy through the social and territorial capillarization of digital applications. These define the phenomenon of platform capitalism, enabling the services of transporting people and delivering food demanded by applications. Such services are performed, above all, by non-hegemonic market agents, in the context of the uberization of work, in which labor exploitation is intensified, labor rights are neglected or made more flexible, as working hours do not have a defined maximum limit, there is no remuneration guarantee and the risks and fixed costs of the work are transferred to the responsibility of the workers. Therefore, the territory is used unevenly and hierarchically. Application-companies use the territory for the reproduction of surplus value, on the contrary, workers linked to these companies use the territory with the intent of survival. With this understanding, the objective of the research is to analyze the uses of the territory by the agents of the urban economy circuits for the delivery of food demanded by applications in the city of Natal - RN, in the technical-scientific-informational period. To achieve this objective, a bibliographical research was carried out on the uses of the territory, the technicalscientific-informational period, circuits of the urban economy and the uberization of work. In addition, field research was carried out with the application of sessions and the triggering of interviews with couriers linked to the application-companies. The results achieved underline the inequality of the territory used, the intensification of the precariousness of work and the complementarity of the circuits of the urban economy, in the wake of the subordination of the non-hegemonic economy to the intentions of the superior circuit.
