The selection of the descriptors was performed by consulting the Health Science Descriptors (http://decs.bvs.br) in English and in Portuguese. The followingwereused: Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional (Food Security), Serviços de Saúde para Estudantes (Student Health Services), Brasil (Brazil) Nutricionista (Nutritionist), Alimentação Escolar (SchoolFeeding), Ciências da Nutrição (NutritionalSciences).Boarding schools have become a possible reality for a significant portion of Brazilian children. The demand for this kind of service is escalating due to women’s active participation in the job market. Having a healthy diet plays an important role throughout individuals’ lives, mainly during school years, in which children make new discoveries every day, including eating. Therefore, the nutritionist is the professional in charge of nutrition and eating.
