This was a cross-sectional study, quantitative and descriptive approach. The sample consisted of 153 students randomly selected and they both sexes, questionnaire which included anthropometric data and food consumption. Data were assessed for normality using the Lilliefors test and the statistical analysis we used the t - test, considering for all statistical analyzes significance level of 0.05 (p<0.05). It was found that the vast majority of reviews were eutrophic (74.5%) and the average waist circumference (72 cm) showing no possible risk of metabolic complications. The feeding habits of college for fruit proved to be appropriate (68%) and inadequate vegetables (88.8%) for most of them. The average for the group of breads, cereals, rice and pasta (5.6 servings / day) is adequate, as the sugar / candy (14.34 g / day) and the milk and dairy products (1.74 servings / day) are inadequate. In the mean analysis, for the periods, as the consumption of vegetables, dairy products, breads, cereals, rice and pasta, there is an increase over the periods and the fried foods and decreases as the consumption of sugar / sweets there is a higher consumption at the beginning. In conclusion, we observed a good profile anthropometric and food consumption as there are variations on the appropriateness and inappropriateness between the groups, but these habits positively to improve during the course, thus indicating that the acquired knowledge can be the great influencer for these changes .","abstract_html":"This research aimed to evaluate the anthropometric profile and eating habits of nursing students, and relate the habits per period.
