It is linked to the project \"LONCAAFS - Longitudinal study of sedentary behavior, physi cal activity, d i et and health of adolescents.\" A pilot study was performed in t wo public schools of the city of João Pessoa. \"A cross - sectional study of adoles cents six year of primary educ a- tion in state and municipal schools of João Pessoa, with participa tion of students of Nutrition, Physical Education and Nursing. The sample consisted of a su b sample of 132 sixth graders, four city schools, one in each region. Assessment of food consumption was through a 24 - hour recall. And to min i- mize memory e rrors, a photo album with pictures of food, household items and standard measures that represent items or food portions was used. The chemical composition of dietary recalls was calculated using the Virtual Nutri Program 1016 and dietary intake was assessed using the Quali - ness Healthy Eating Index (HEI). Analyzed to 132 dietary recalls, where 88.6% of these were classified as ina d- equate or in need of modification diet. Milk intake and vegetables had to be inad e- quate, with no consumption of 50.8% and 74.2%, respectively, coinciding with data from other studies.
