Implantação de práticas seguras para o uso de medicamentos no Hospital Napoleão Laureano : elaboração de um guia farmacoterapêutico para a utilização dos MPP

Medicines play an important role in the health system and treatment of diseases, so they are likely to be errors of targets that become the most feared when committed with MPP (MPP). The MPPs are defined as a group of drugs that have an increased risk of d amage to bring the wearer. The cancer patients makes use of various drugs, adjuvant therapy, in addition to used in cancer treatment and therefore the focus of your treatment ends up being the chemotherapy, and not classified as anticancer drugs, which are also potentially dangerous is not given to due attention should be given as to the concern of the risks associated with its use. The aim of this study was to analyze, and draw up a list Pharmacotherapeutic Guide containing the main pharmacological charact eristics, kinetic and toxicological of MPPs, not classified as antineoplastic, Hospital Napoleão Laureano, reference facility for cancer treatment in the state of Paraíba. Faced with the choice and classification as MPP, a list was drawn up the following i nformation for 47 drugs: the reference product, presentation, pharmacokinetics, mechanism of action, warnings and precautions, storage after preparation (when applicable), incompatibilities in serum catheter ( via y) compatibilities or not to polyvinyl chl oride (PVC) (where applicable), routes of administration, drug interaction, toxicity risk and treatment. With this information, the multidisciplinary team can improve patient safety, avoid mistakes and contribute to a better quality of life thereof, thus p roviding a better rational use of MPP
