This study aimed to establish a di stribution system and dispensing of more efficient drugs that through visual stimuli can alert health professionals about the care that the drugs they need at the time of distribution and dispensing. The study was conducted at Hospital Napoleão Laureano, l ocated in the city of João Pessoa, PB. During the development of the work was developed and deployed an dispensing protocol which provides greater security to the health professional who dispenses, distributes and administers the drugs as well as for the p atient, which are the worst off in case of medication errors. Using standardization Hospital medicines, potentially dangerous medications were selected, according to the List of Potentially Hazardous Drugs ISMP Brazil and thermolabile. In addition to the h igh - alert medications, to consolidate the error prevention system related to the drug, was developed a drug identification system with validity less or equal to three months . Thus, each group was assigned a color and products belonging to the same were lab eled with the corresponding colors for all health professionals to quickly recognize and take due care that each group of drugs need.
