Humans harbor the infection of this bacterium as active disease. The lack of adherence to treatment is a major difficulty faced in Brazil and promotes the insistence of the infection and the formatio n of resistant bacillus strains . There is widespread concern with the effectiveness of drug treatment of tuberculosis due to irregular therapies, in addition not to promote healing of the patient, it can convert them in cases of therapy that does not respond to traditional anti - tuberculosis drugs . When this occurs, a more complex and longer therapy is required increasing the number of drugs and consequently its adverse effects.
