Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe pharmaceutical market has always exerted a major influence in the world , as well as in Brazil, which has been a center of cultural development of great significance. The manipulation pharmacy has been gaining more space in the pharmaceuticals Market, since its decline after World War II. In recent years the ANVISA is inc reasing supervision and control of trade in pharmacies. For this, the RDC 67 was created in 2007, which provides for Good Handling Practices and workshop Magistral Preparations for Human Use in pharmacies. The microbial control is a necessary condition for a drug quality , in the Brazilian Pharmacopoeia establishes the microbiological limits for each type of formulation. The aim of this study was to analyze possible microbiological contamination of liquid pharmaceutical preparations sold in pharmacies in the city of João Pessoa – PB . Five samples were acquired, one at each pharmacy, which were analyzed by serial dilution m ethod with seeding surface suitable for both bacteria and for fungi culture media. The results it was observed that there was no growth of microorganisms in the samples, indicating that they are in accordance with the specifications required limits and mic robial , thus they are suitable for human consumption. The pharmaceutical products analyzed are according to the criteria of the current legislation , ensuring quality, safety and efficacy.
