With that, the task objective is research the occurrence of intestinal protozoa in the city of Patos – PB, determine the different founded frequency of intestinal parasite , observe the most occurrent gender and identify the frequency age in most. It has been analyzed 1000 results of coproparasitological exams, performed in Patos Municipal Laboratory, in the period between July and September 2013. The method used to carry out these tests wa s to Hoffmann. Of these 1000, 647 exams wa s female and 353 male. In total, 270 (27%) exams has been positive for at least on species of parasite, being 178 (65,93%) from females and 92 (34,07%) from males. From the positive exams, 223 (82,6%) patients were monoparasited, 44 (16,3%) biparasited and 3 (1,1%) multiinfested, corresponding a total of 320 parasites, were 303 (94,69%) protozoa . The frequency of enteroparasites are following: Endolimax nana (39,4%), Entamoeba coli (24,7%), Giardia lamblia (18,2%), Entamoeba histol ytica /dispar (11,3%) e Iodamoeba butschlii (1,2%) . In relation to age, the most occurrence was children’s between 0 to 9 years old (26,9%), followed by the young of 10 to 19 years old (16,2%), and adults between 30 to 39 years old (14%). In exception of the group of 0 to 9 years old, the most occurrent was females.
