Excessive consumption involves damage to the health of the patient and substantial expenditures to public health management. The intense concern about the lack of studies on antibiotics, the consequences of the indiscriminate use of these and the high value that represent hospital costs, justify the need to study. The research aimed to conduct a pharmacoeconomic evaluation of antimicrobial drugs in the Clementino Fraga (CHCF) Hospital Complex.
