It is quite established that physical training has high ability to reduce b lood pressure (BP). It is also known that one of the foods with greater hypotensive effect is the grape and grape and physical exercise have similar mechanisms involved in improved levels of PA. But even before this, it is unclear to associate exercise wit h supplementation of integral red grape juice decrease resting BP and maintains or potentiate the magnitude of PEH. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate if taking small daily doses of integral red grape juice for 28 days influences on resting b lood pressure and the magnitude of hypotension generated after a session of walking on a treadmill increases. This is a double - blind, randomized and managed in which 26 hypertensive patients (51.1 ± 4.3 years in the experimental group and 53.3 ± 4.0 years in the control group) were first divided into two groups: experimental (n = 14) and control (n = 12) and then the experimental group was divided into two other groups according to their initial levels of resting BP, namely: Juice with controlled BP and juice with great PA. A ll groups performed two sessions of aerobic treadmill exercise (60 to 85% of maximum heart rate) with 60 'duration each, separated by a period of 28 days of supplementation in a daily dose from integral red grape juice (150ml to 100ml for men and women) or control. Heart rate and blood pressure measurements were taken at baseline (before) during and immediately after every 10 minutes in a recovery period of 60 minutes after the exercise. For analysis and processing of data was used o ne - way ANOVA with post hoc Tukey or t - test student as appr opriate . Resting BP did not change when the experimental group was analyzed as a single group (p> 0.05). When it was divided into two groups a significant reduction was observed in systolic blood press ure (SBP) of the PA managed group (133.3 ± 5.6 to 114.6 ± 12.2 mmHg, p = 0.02). When it was treated as a single group the intervention with integral red grape juice was not able to potentiate the HPE in any of the time points (p> 0.05). When the experimenta l group was separated into PA controlled and optimal BP, the HPE showed decreased SBP controlled to pre - post intervention with juice 50 '(p = 0.02), as well as for pre - controlled diastolic blood pressure after intervention in moments with juice 40 ', 50' a nd 60 '(p = 0.03, p = 0.007 and p = 0.03 respectively), and enhanced in two points at SBP from pre to post - intervention control 40' and 60 '(p = 0.02 and p = 0.04 respectively). The values of HPE post - intervention PA great group were significantly lower than the post - intervention group controlled BP values in times 10 ', 20', 30 'and 50' (p = 0.005, p = 0.001, p = 0.004 and p = 0.008 respectively).
