Câncer de mama e alimentação : percepções de mulheres com histórico de câncer de mama sobre o papel da alimentação na prevenção e no tratamento.

The Breast Cancer is the most type of cancer that affects women worldwide. The existence of cancer results in dietary changes, which can modify the nutrition carcinogenic process at any stage, even is of great importance for the prevention and treatment. This is a descriptive case study with a qualitative approach, which aims to understand the perceptions of women with breast cancer who exp erienced disease treatment with regard to food . Data were collected through interviews followed by a pre - structured with women participants of the NGO Friends of the Chest Paraibana capital script. Dietary and nutritional factors play an important role and influence the quality and quantity of life after cancer diagnosis. It can be verified prior inadequacy in supply of women who were diagnosed with breast cancer and the change in eating habits after the nutritional intervention . Therefore, one should reinf orce the importance of inclusion in the approach of people with breast cancer - the object of this work - the nutrition component, considering its impact on quality of life throughout the disease process, and provide the access to equipment that could be p ut in place during the life of the patients knowledge.
