Estudo geomorfológico em ambiente subterrâneo: gruta do Lobo Guará, município de Santa Rita, Paraíba.

This research is the study of a natural cave called the Gruta do Lobo Guará, located in the Costeiro Tabuleiro, on Barreiras Formação, in the municipality of Santa Rita, in the microregion of João Pessoa, Paraíba. This cavity lacks any scientific study, what makes this work first performed in this cave environment, describing how quickly and succinctly its features, its environmental conditions and reporting certain environmental impact in the area. The objective of this work is to expand the speleological knowledge of this region, because this knowledge are a little spread in the state. The cave is located on private property away from urban activities and this site is developed cattle ranching, and within walking distance of the cavity is located the Metropolitan Landfill of João Pessoa, this may be one of the major impacts that are affecting the underground ecosystem. This environment has an underground sandstone composition of cement and lime in it the presence of speleothems is almost nil, and its flora and fauna prove to be quite fragile, and these highly adapted to the site. Thus, it is concluded that despite being the first exploratory study in the cavity, it is important to emphasize that conducting environmental education programs in these underground environments, enriching the knowledge of academic society and external to it, knowing interact and respect nature through sustainable development without harming the cave environment.
