As a theoretical framework we use, among others, and authors like TOLEDO TOLEDO, (1997), DANTE (2000) and ASSISI and BEZERRA (2011). We try based on Dante (2000), showing the various types of problems and exercises. We selected several problems involving area and/or perimeter of the main plane figures in textbooks of mathematics in a school in Pitimbu. We conclude that the problems are not intended to work with GeoGebra therefore do not exploit the dynamic aspect of the software, GeoGebra this case would be used only as a drawing and/or the calculation tool tool, making their unnecessary use and so the activities often could sum up just applying formulas. Thus, we have created and/or adapted problems that explore the dynamic aspect of the software and the interpretive skills of the students, leading them to a meaningful learning of the concepts covered. Furthermore, we also concluded that GeoGebra is an important teaching tool because it assists the teacher in the teaching- learning process, because it works the creative and interpretive skills of the students in a dynamic way, leading them, in our case, to understand the concept of area and perimeter of the main plane figures significantly.","abstract_html":"This paper aims to discuss the adequacy of exercises and problems involving area and perimeter of the main plane figures to work with GeoGebra.
