O uso de calculadora no ensino de matemática: uma análise na coleção de livros didáticos mais adotados na cidade de Cabaceiras–PB.

Research on the use of the calculator in the classroom, as an example, Jungle & Borba (2010) show that it is important to know the calculator, learn to handle it and use it to check results, but also use the calculator to observe regularities and reflect on mathematical concepts. Thus, this study is based on qualitative research literature and aimed to examine the proposition activities with collection of calculators in mathematics of elementary school (6th to 9th year) adopted in the city of Cabaceiras - PB. Used as a research collection "The Conquest of mathematics." In this collection we analyzed the activities involving the calculator, and after the data obtained in the analysis, we find that the collection brings some meaningful activities, for example, the exploitation of some keyboard keys, solve numeric expressions using the memory keys, and calculate the root square, we also observed that the collection does not have the teacher's manual no recommendation on how the calculator should be used, and this contributes to these activities are not used in the classroom by the teacher during the school year. Despite the limitations, the collection offers possibilities for activities with the calculator, but it is necessary that the teacher knows research on the use of the calculator in the classroom, so you can make this machine a learning of their students.
