O ensino do conteúdo Funções na escola de Ensino Médio José Paulo de França da cidade de Marí-PB: o que dizem os professores?

This work aims at investigating the teaching of content in school functions José Paulo School of France located in the city of Mari-PB from the conceptions of mathematics teachers. This research is a case study and is characterized by its descriptive character where we use the observation and questionnaires. The theoretical researched was based on documents of national guidance for this grade level, to know PCNEM (BRAZIL, 1998), PCN + (BRAZIL, 2002) and OCEM (BRAZIL, 2006) for teaching mathematical content functions addressing theoretical and methodological. From the interview with teachers was possible to show the difficulties in teaching this content as well as other tools and methodologies. The collection of books used by teachers leaves a gap in the contents that are required to consult other bibliographies to supplement. Teachers use resources such as problem solving, history of mathematics and software to assist in the understanding of students. Revealed, so this research the weaknesses of teaching duties at the school investigated.
