O Ensino da Matemática e a Educação Ambiental: abordando a Problemática do Lixo.

This study deals with a study on the interaction between the Teaching of Mathematics and Environmental Education through activities that promote environmental education emphasizing the problem of garbage. Thus, your overall goal was to elaborate, develop and evaluate an intervention proposal in a class of 1st year of High School, a public school in the municipality of Lagoa Seca, Paraíba State. Specifically, the research aimed to conduct a literature concerning the themes "Teaching Mathematics" and "Environmental Education" in order to support the preparation of the proposed intervention; prepare and develop proposed intervention integrating mathematical content and thematic environmental education and, finally, make a critical analysis of the proposed intervention, based on the statements of the students who participated in the activities. The choice of topic was motivated by the fact that mathematics is a discipline in which they are notorious times of difficulty, obstacles and disinterest of students. The methodological assumptions for this study was characterized initially by a literature search, which was discussed in the teaching of Mathematics and Environmental Education in a comprehensive way through content found in books, magazines, periodicals, articles, websites and others. Soon after we conducted a field survey by a proposed intervention with 24 students of the 1st year of high school the aforementioned school. Finally, analyzes were conducted of the proposed intervention identifying the results. The proposed intervention told primarily through the presentation of a questionnaire to students requesting their consideration of Mathematics, Environmental Education, emphasizing the trash and recycling. Another activity developed was the field trip to a recycling deposit, which aroused great interest of the students who sought information on the work developed there. Finally, after conducting lectures in mathematics classroom, has been applied to evaluation activity that listed the contents as a percentage of Mathematics, rule of three, multiplication and function with the information gathered in the previous activities.
