Abstract
dc:description.abstractFirmed the importance of the textbook as a teaching tool in the classroom, and the strength he performs as disseminator of ideas and concepts aims of this research was to identify the reading that it brings about the issue, either through texts properly said, reading suggestions or pictures. Knowledge on Climate Change is still living in the field of uncertainty, so it will be exposed here to view the last two reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - IPCC (2001 and 2007), as well as the skeptical view. The general objective of the study is to identify the speech that the textbook Geography Project Araribá regarding the collection of the National Textbook - PNLD 2011 addresses on the theme Climate Change. To achieve the objectives the research was divided into four steps: 1) literature review, 2) election of the collection to be investigated, 3) conducting a brief description of textbooks collection elected Araribá Project, supported by theoretical work Miller (2008) as well as discussion of the content displayed on the same through the interpretation of the data obtained in the previous steps beyond the analysis of the books through the criteria of Pontuschka (2007) and finally the fourth stage were established criteria for identification of (s) address (s) of the books still based on the work of Miller (2008) through the analysis frame containing seven questions with objective answers directed to the four books in the collection.
