The Caulerpa mexicana is a green seaweed from the Caulerpaceae family , Bryopsis pennata it is also a green seaweed belonging Bryopsidaceae family ; Hypnea musciformes is a red seaweed incorporating Cystocloniaceae family as well as the red seaweed Bryothamnion triquetrum belonging Rhodomelaceae family. The marine sponge Ircina felix , is part of Ircinidae family. Aiming to increase the knowledge about marine breeds composing the fauna and flora of Para iba and also its potential, we have analyzed the presence of they main secondary m etabolites and also evaluated the antifungal and antibacterial profile of crude e xtracts of these species. The chemical analysis provided relevant information abo ut secondary metabolites in algae and sponges analyzed. The results of the scre ening were consistant with the data analyzed in the bibliographic review previousl y fulfilled.
