Expectativas educacionais e profissionalizantes: um estudo com alunos do ensino médio

This research aimed to make an analysis of the direction of the graduates, the final years of basic education on the duality: the labor market or higher education. We chose some theorists argue that the problem of high school in our country to base our discussions as Romanelli (1999), Smith (2010), Lombardi (2005), among others. The survey was conducted with three graduating classes of public school (State School of Elementary and Secondary Education Alzira Lisbon) and private school (and Hello College Course), all of the high school belonging to the municipality of Jacaraú, Paraíba. To achieve the goals we adopted as a working methodology literature, descriptive and exploratory in nature. For data collection was a questionnaire survey, semi-structured type, applied to 123 students. The method for data analysis was in a simple case study, a single interaction with the data. The results revealed that most students have aspirations to follow two paths after completion of basic education.
