experiment was conducted in an experimental field belonging to the Center for Agricultural Sciences, Federal University of Paraiba, Campus II, Sand-PB during the period from March to July 2012. The study aimed to analyze componetes production of Sesame BRS Seda subjected to different thinning and spacing, determining your best productivity. We analyzed the components of production: Plant height (HPL), stem diameter (IDS), insertion height of the first fruit (FFI), number of fruits per plant (PFN), number of fruit branches (BFN), weight 1000 seeds (SMW) and productivity (PDT). The experiment was conducted in a factorial 2 x 4 conducted a randomized block with eight treatments and four replications, totaling 32 plots. The experimental unit consisted of three rows of 4m, spaced 0.8 m 1.0 m. The treatments consisted of two types of spacing and thinning 4 modes. Plants were harvested by hand at 90 days after sowing. By analysis of variance, significance was observed at 1% probability in the F test for the effect of thinning on the characteristics of plant height (SMW), stem diameter (IDS) and number of fruit branches (BFN). Regarding the spacing was not found significant in the studied traits. Also no effect was found of the interactions studied. The greatest yields obtained when held just a thinning when the plants were 1.5 cm in height can justify their recomendaçãouma time also reduce production costs. Choosing the best spacing for culture should take into account the costs related quantities of seeds and also the availability of area.
