Perfil das principais interações medicamentosas potenciais com antimicrobianos em prescrições hematológicas de um hospital oncológico.

Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the prescriptions from the of the hematology division at an oncology hospital in the state of Paraíba the existence of potential drug interactions, quantify them and classifies them according to their degree of severit y, thus tracing the profile of the requirements of the sector. Methods: A descriptive, retrospect ive study, which evaluated 97 prescriptions sector hematology, these being scanned. In patients over 18 years, both sexes, dispensed between the months of Apri l 2012 to April 2013, containing two or more medications one being an antimicrobial. To analyze the potential IMs were used the database Micromedex ® and Medscape ® and literature data. Results: We evaluated period prescribed in 96 different types of medic ation, mean 14.9 + 3.6 per prescription. The 149 IM observed in prescriptions were classified according to the degree of severity in contraindicated (2) larger (77), 34 Souza, L.Q. Artigo moderate (65) and lower (5) and occurred between antimicrobials and antimicrobial and othe r classes. Conclusion: This study contributes to the design of the profile of pharmacotherapy used in the hematology division, demonstrating that it is a high incidence of potential drug interactions in prescriptions.
