Produtividade de pastagens em diferentes épocas do ano em latossolo amarelo no brejo paraibano

Brachiaria grasses of the genus are widely used in pastures in tropical America. The Brachiaria grasses are the most widely planted in and country, being used in phases, rearing and fattening of animals. Adapt to different conditions of soil and climate, occupying growing space throughout the Brazilian territory, to provide satisfactory forage production in soils with low to medium fertility. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of mineral fertilization with NPK in the production of fresh and dry matter of five species of the genus Brachiaria grasses. The study was conducted on the farm Chã do jardim Center of Agrarian Sciences, Federal University of Paraiba (UFPB), located in Areia-PB during the period july 2010 to june 2011. The experiment was established in an area of 46.0 x 29.0 m plots with 10.0 x 5.0 m and subplot medindo 5.0 x 5.0 m. The experimental design was randomized blocks with split plots in a factorial 5 x 2, corresponding to the five species of grasses gênero Brachiaria (B decumbens, B. brizantha, B. humidicola, B. ruziziensis, B. MG5) and two conditions of fertilization NPK (absence and presence). From the experiment we evaluated the production of fresh and dry weight of shoots of five braquiárias evaluated through successive cuts shoot every 35 days. Observed that the production of fresh and dry to the different species of braquiárias successive cuts was influenced by mineral fertilization and the amount of water available to plants during the scheduled evalution. The Brachiaria brizantha MG5 was the most productive in both the fresh and dry weight while in the Brachiaria ruziziensis humidicola and showed the lowest values for biomass production shoots.
