In the practice of clinical research , the most widely used methods for the polyamine analysis are chroma tographic methods , particularly high performance liquid chromatography with fluorimetric detection where derivatization is required . The scientific literature provides various pre - analytical methods according to the nature of the clinical samples , blood and urine are being the most used .
