Cruz das Armas Avenue is a gateway of great importance, because it was one way of expansion and one of the main entrances/ exits of the city that gives access to the city of Recife.The main objective of this work isto seek and reveal so understanding the dynamics of land use Avenue, the changes in the same, analyzing the data collected and its use of the soil, but with the caveat that this transformation occurred more intensity from the 1980s, but started in the late 1960 and early 1970 due to the expansion of the city and with it the need to meet the commercial demand or of services that went along that growth to the South side of the city. It features a large number of homes, shopsand services and other activitiesalong its length which gradually transform although not as during expansion. Today keeps your soil “stagnated”in a transition that has left its mixed use, residential above.
