A importância da prática experimental no ensino de biologia na Educação de Jovens e Adultos.

The educational model found today in various educational institutions has contributed significantly to the low levels of education of students in our country, especially those who are part of the teaching modality Youth and Adults (EJA) and thus the historical moment in which we live requires a reflection on the strategies used in the classroom for teaching science especially biology. In this sense, the teaching methodology to assess a different dynamics involving students in issues related to their daily life practical result. Thus, this work has main objective to verify and compare the efficiency of the use of modalities didactic lecturing (traditional method) and a theoretical and practical, in the teaching-learning in biology in six classes 1st, 2nd and 3rd series of Education Youth and Adults in the State School Secondary José Rocha Sobrinho, located in the municipality of Bananeiras - PB. In this context, the subject teacher was interviewed in order to seek information on the methodology applied in the classroom and later, a survey was conducted of the content being taught and the same have been proposed practical experiments in biology. The classes were divided into a (control group) which would be part of students who do not participate in experimental classes and one (the experimental group) which would be present students who would participate in practice experimental biology. At the end we conducted a qualitative research / case study from a questionnaire and an evaluation which sought to examine the ideas of the students after the teaching-learning about the theme. The results confirmed the effectiveness of theoretical and practical exposure in the teaching-learning process in biology, and students from the experimental group had better performance than students in the control group, thus underscoring the importance of experimental practice in the teaching of Biology in EJA.
