Diagnóstico do uso e importância das plantas medicinais entre docentes e discentes do ensino médio do município de Brejo do Cruz – PB.

Medicinal plants have been used by humans since ancient times for the treatment of various diseases. There are many studies and research in the field of herbal medicine who seek to prove the efficacy of medicinal plants, the immense variety showing. This thesis aimed to diagnose the use and importance of medicinal plants among teachers and students of high school in the city of Heath's Cross - PB, justified by the need to promote understanding, introduce the theme, medicinal plants among the contents taught to high school students, stimulating the growth of learning about its importance and its preservation. For this study, we carried out field research through the application of questionnaires to teachers and students of the School State School Professor José Olympio Maia, aiming to probe the understanding of the respondents about the importance of medicinal plants, which in the beginning of the investigation showed no have no idea how medicinal plants can be important, demonstrating that the theme, medicinal plants, is not present in school life, thus requiring a more significant issue in schools.
