Usando calculadora no ensino da matemática: um estudo de caso em Taperoá - PB .

This study aimed to analyze key concepts that students highlight about using the calculator in mathematical activities in the school environment. For this we rely on some theoretical as Assis et al (2011), Rêgo (2010), Van de Walle (2009), among other authors, and official documents: Brazil (1997, 1998). The research was conducted with 15 students in 7th grade at a public school in the municipality of Taperoá, Paraíba between the months of September and October correte year. The study methodology was characterized as a descriptive study action research. For this we adopted as the main instruments of research a semi-structured questionnaire applied to students of schools and observed, a diary where we recorded all times of the field study. As a result we have that the main conceptions of students regarding the issue of the use of calculator in the school environment was initially prejudice to the instrument that was as broken as we deployed the mathematical activities. At the end the students showed satisfactory design with a view to approval of 100% of respondents. The survey also revealed many problems with the basic operations presented by students as well as traditional conceptions of the use of the instrument applied by professionals, a fact that deserves attention educational community of this city.
