Concepções e práticas de avaliação dos professores da Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Alexandre Diniz da Penha/Damião – PB.

This research aims to analyze the teacher’s concepts and practices of evaluation of the Municipal and Elementary School Alexandre Diniz Penha Damian / PB and, as specific objectives, to identify the teacher’s concept of evaluation from this school; to recognize the evaluation tools used by the teachers; to analyze the evaluation tools used by the teachers. This is a field research, qualitative in nature, which seeks to understand and interpret the meanings of the facts of reality. We used the theoretical contributions studies of Costa (2011); Hoffmann (2009); Luckesi (2000), Sant’Anna (1995); Romão (1999), among others. For the present study, we use the following data collection instruments: the literature review and questionnaires applied to a sample of twenty-six (26) teachers. Such methodological procedures have led us to present reflections on the data evidences concern the daily reality of the school. We believe that it is necessary for teachers of the Alexandre Diniz da Penha School rethink about their conceptions and practices of assessment, used to obtain results, so that they acquire a new insight on these concepts and practices of evaluation that can, in its turn, collaborate, maily, to the development and construction of the learning, by making the evaluation process efficient and productive.
