As dificuldades dos estudantes na transposição de informações dos enunciados de problemas envolvendo equações do 1º grau para linguagem algébrica.

This work aims to analyze and investigate students' difficulties in transposition of the statements of problems involving equations of the first degree for the algebraic language. It presents theoretical background based on studies by authors such as Ponte (2005), Hoffmann (1992), among others. It is also based on the CPN (BRAZIL, 1998). As a methodological choice, we conducted a field research in which we collected data from the students of the seventh year of the Elementary School of the a municipal school in Piancó city in the state of Paraiba. Through the observation of two lessons we look at the teacher's approach on the proposed topic, and the difficulties encountered by students in the implementation of natural language to algebraic language by proposing some problems. Most answered with the data presented in the statements of the questions themselves, but unconnected; we noticed a strong tendency to make an association with the word order, from left to right and showed the students often do not distinguish the role that letters were taking in certain situations. This study helped to reflect on the difficulties that students had to understand the statements and so for transposing to the algebraic form, requiring a participatory attitude of the teacher in this process.
