In response, the Israeli chancellor criticized Brazil's act as a \"diplomatic dwarf.\" The media propagated this event and in some cases described it as a \"diplomatic crisis\" between the two countries. In view of this context, the purpose of this paper is to review the relations between Brazil and Israel in order to verify if any other friction occurred in the history of this relationship, examining its motives and identifying possible phases of it. This investigation is based on the external policy analysis methodology, which allowed a comparison between the intensity of the misalignments found and their motivations.
