Tendência das monografias do curso de Biblioteconomia da Universidade Federal da Paraíba: um estudo cienciométrico

This research seeks to analyze some conclusion course works of Library Science course of Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) between 2011 and 2013, garding to its scientific approaches from the perspective of the curriculum areas of pedagogic-political project of information science course, it disciplines and the theoretic models of sciencie information studied by the author Carlos Alberto Ávila Araújo (UFMG). The general objective of this research was to characterize tendencies of Course completion assignments produced in information science at UFPB. Furthermore, this study was characterized as a documentary and scientometric research and was made with 97 samples of Course completion assignments, some elements were analyzed such as title, abstract, key-words and general objective of research, seeking to identify tendencies and approaches of each Course completion assignment. The analysis made, highlighted a diversity of thematic approaches, interdisciplinary and with tendencies to many theoretical of Library Science.
